13,265 PointsGetting an "untracked files" message in my git status
I followed the practice provided and get the correct files when I run ls, however when I run git status, I receive the following output:
On branch master Untracked files: (use "git add <file>..." to include in what will be committed) .DS_Store
nothing added to commit but untracked files present (use "git add" to track)
The practice did not mention this file or an action step. Can anyone explain to me what this file is? I went ahead and follow the instructions to git add and now my working directory is clean.

2,210 PointsDid you used it on Mac? I have also "found" the same file in the untracked files.. I believe the file is somehow related to Mac operating system. I've seen the same hidden file before when I've created zip files on Mac.
