I am trying to fetch integer value out of an intent doing the next : int g = getIntent(). getIntExtra(FUEL_LEVEL); where FUEL_LEVEL is my key...
What is the correct syntax.

import android.os.Bundle;
public class FlightActivity extends Activity {
public int mFuelLevel = 0;
@Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);

this forum post might be helpful, the first answer shows how to get an integer out of an intent :-)

23,733 PointsHi Oak - First use the getIntent() method to get the intent that started FlightActivity. Assign the return value of getIntent() to a variable, say called intent, of type Intent. Then call the getIntExtra() method on the variable intent. You need to pass the key, "FUEL_LEVEL", as the first parameter and -1 as the second parameter. Finally, assign the return value of getIntExtra to mFuelLevel. Let me know if you have more questions on this.
