FYI "Launch Console" is no longer a green button. It is now "Launch Workspace" and on bottom of video player.

My friend took the Console Foundations course last week. She recommended it and I attempted to take it. However, I couldn't find how you get the Treehouse provided practice console shown in the video to launch. It just wasn't on my account at all. It wasn't that it wouldn't load, there wasn't even a button to attempt to load it.

My friend couldn't find it either. She logged into her account and it's there no problem. So, I logged out of my account and back in and that didn't help either. Logged in on her computer and same thing it didn't show the green button to launch it. In fact, that whole panel of the web page area that is supposed to contain it is entirely missing- no info about the instructor, no green "Launch Console" button, no smaller panel inside that panel showing what stage you are on and the title.

We are both running computers with the exact same version of Safari, OS X (Yosemite), etc. fully updated and set up the same way. So, has to be something different with my Treehouse account.

I was about to give up and write tech support, when we had her account opened on a laptop next to mine and realized that the video players are different. The bottoms look the same, but mine has a tool bar type thing across the top where you can jump between videos and steps in the course (on her account you need to click the "console foundations" link at the top and go to the badge screen to navigate to another video.) Anyway, it appears that Treehouse is in the process of updating their video player and overall look of the page (like removing that panel) and the movie does not reflect the changes.

I was finally able to launch the Treehouse practice console by clicking the "Launch Workspace" button on the bottom of the video player on the right hand side just past the cc, volume, and resize button. Hope this saves someone some frustration.
