1,286 PointsFunction not working
This is highly annoying that I can't continue with this lesson when evidently the function I have built works.
def just_right(str): if len(str) < 5: print("Your string is too short") elif len(str) > 5: print("Your string is too long") else: return True
if I run this with any string as just_right("String to test") it gives the results appropriate
def just_right(str):
if len(str) < 5:
print("Your string is too short")
elif len(str) > 5:
print("Your string is too long")
else:
return True

71,830 PointsMarko, the challenge asks you to return values, not print them:
def just_right(str):
if len(str) < 5:
return 'Your string is too short'
elif len(str) > 5:
return 'Your string is too long'
else:
return True
