Front End Tech Degree

Has anyone completed a front end tech degree after the front end developer track, how many hours did it take you? Did you feel ready to start the tech degree after the track finished ?

I thought about doing the videos first then the techdegree, but the TD is a different thing. I wouldn't have saved myself much time at all. Plus, the projects are what makes it fun. I'm only on project 6, but I've learned at least 10x more from doing the projects than videos alone.
