Python Python Basics (2015) Python Data Types String Formatting

Format

OK, so now use .format() on the string "Treehouse loves {}" to put your name into the placeholder. Assign this to the variable subject again.

Hey Amel,

you have to use the format method on the "Treehouse loves {}" string and assign it to the subject variable. The {} is the placeholder in which you insert something with the format method. You have to give the format method your name variable as an argument like so:

name = "Amel"
subject = "Treehouse loves {}".format(name)

Thanks so much Tobias. I really feel like I did that and it just was not working for some reason.
