.format()

i've tried everything on this challenge.. can someone help me? please?

Hi Eugene! The lesson to be learned here is that the format() method makes you able to pass in a variable or some complex expression (i.e. a value which is not fixed) to a "template" string. (Imagine that the value of name is not given by you, but will depend on user input instead). Technically you can pass in a string literal to format(), but it's pointless, since you could simply write that fixed value to the string then.
