90 PointsFor someone looking to start a company, are there any recommendations for website building software?
For someone who is just beginning to learn the basics and needs a solution sooner, are there any suggestions?

3,558 PointsIf you refer to a software that can build you a website, like drag and drop I would say Adobe Muse(that's the one I know) or the online alternatives like: Squarespace.
But if you refer to text editors and something like this I would recommend you [Sublime Text]?(http://www.sublimetext.com/) which you'll probably love, Brackets or even the free software designed by the Github team: Atom.
I hope that it helps.

90 PointsThank you very much. Yes, for now given my lack of knowledge in coding or editing, the need is for the former. Are there any particular hosting solutions you might be able to recommend?

90 PointsGreat and thanks again. Muse looks very robust and actually has hosting. Very grateful for your help!

3,558 PointsYes, Raph, it looks great, because uhm.. Adobe, but keep in mind that your code will look silly and will not be the best, just read this article, but if you do not want to dive deeper into Web Development and you just want to try building something by yourself, go for Muse.

90 PointsThanks a ton Radu. Yes for now and the foreseeable future as I am starting a company and cannot devote the needed time to become a great programmer, Muse seems great. Plus their aesthetic sense seems superb.

It is a very interesting web builder to learn. You can build sites from standard websites to full e-commerce sites. Treehouse has some tutorials as well. I've not looked at them yet but will take a look some time.

6,651 PointsWordpress is great because it has Plugins for any direction you want to take your site in the future....It's very easy and can be customized with the right theme.

2,175 PointsWordpress would also be my suggestion. I'm pretty new to web development. My first freelance clients were actually people who just needed a Wordpress theme customized for them. I've become very familiar with Wordpress, and I'm now focusing on learning front-end development. Even as my skills grow, I think Wordpress will remain a great tool.
