For some strange reason after typing out the /user/etc..I tried click the data/export again and I got a strange denial

It says

Error Starting Workbench Administrator DBLoginError: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost'(using password: YES)

I know what my password is but it never even asked me to type it in, and YES is not my password? Help?
