For of in async function

Hi, In this video is used the map method inside an async function, let's say I want to use a "for of" method an create an array with a push method. My question is, if all the lines inside of a async function are execute consecutively even if they don't have await in front of the function?or even if it's not async code and I want it to run one line after line i need to write the await?.
