For Introduction to Spring course, there is recommendation to learn Java Web dev with SPARK... I wonder if it is really necessary. ... my understanding is that most users prefer either with more people using SPRING... am I wrong?

2,881 PointsI'd say yes, Spark doesn't provide a lot of the extra helper magic that Spring annotations will, so it's easier to see what's going on in Spark than in Spring. That said, if you're coming into Spring with a strong understanding of other web technologies, then you don't need the Spark course.
