Font-face still viable in 2018

Hello all,

Is font-face still a useful option in light of all the fonts and ease of use that Google fonts provides?

Thank you

The "font-face" mechanism allows you to load in new fonts, including ones from Google. You might be using a "link" to load in a stylesheet for a font, but if you look at that stylesheet, you will find that it contains "@font-face" to actually load the font.

Thanks! I actually never noticed that. Great answer. Which is the more preferred method for developers font-face or Google fonts?

You're always using "@font-face! whether you code it yourself or link to an external stylesheet.
