Design

Finding the perfect image in web development.

I'm not a great designer, when it comes to find the perfect image for a project of mine i am literaly suffering because I have never actually learnt what to look for when you need a full-size image banner for example. Should it be 1920x1080 or 2560x is a better choice nowadays? Should I use an image set?
If you know a great guide / documentation / video relevant for today's webdev. I'd be grateful if you shared it with me. Full size banner is the most hated thing in my life right now not gonna lie..

The perfect image really depends on what you are trying to achieve. Are you trying to find a full screen image to use like this site: www.caledonbuild.com? Then any of those dimensions would work but you would need to make sure you optimize the image so it doesn't drag your page load. It really depends on the user interface if you need a certain size. If you are trying to find a site for high-res images then www.pexels.com may be of use to you.
