I am currently writing a business plan and need to include a financial plan as well , anybody know of any good resources to use ?

15,258 PointsWell, to be totally frank. Financial planning is a bit of a misnomer. You might think of it more as financial benchmarking. You can't predict the future, you can't predict how many clients you will actually get. But, you can predict your capacity, how many clients you are able to handle for a given year, how much they will be charged, and what the cost of your resources will likely be given that scenario. Additionally, you'll want to make a few assumptions (targets) about growth year over year. After that, it is just as simple as setting up an excel sheet with some addition and subtraction. I wouldn't worry too much about amortization of assets depreciation and junk. Keep it simple, investors don't typically like to think beyond the bottom line.
