namespace Treehouse.CodeChallenges
{
    class Program
    {
        static void Main()
        {
            var total = 0;

            Console.Write("Enter the number of times to print \"Yay!\": ");
            var entry = Console.ReadLine();
            try
            {
                var times = int.Parse(entry);
                while (total < times)
                {
                    total += 1;
                    Console.WriteLine("Yay!");
                }
            }
            catch (FormatException)
            {
                Console.WriteLine("You must enter a whole number.");

            }
        }
    }
}

I know I have to tell the user to input a positive number, but where do I put that?

Check the value after it has been parsed.

As soon as you have parsed the input into a number, you can test the number with an if statement to be sure it is not negative. If it is, you can print out the appropriate message (as given in the challenge) and end the program.

Thank you!
