When i drag the files on work space the pictures are not being uploaded to work space.

When you download images, you will need to drag the individual image FILES into the img FOLDER in the black area to the left of the Workspace.

Try this method. It's for Windows. Yes, you must extract zip files after you download them before dragging/dropping them into a folder. Hope this helps.
Open My Computer, and then locate the compressed folder. To extract a single file or folder, double-click the compressed folder to open it. Then, drag the file or folder from the compressed folder to a new location. To extract all files or folders, right-click the compressed folder, and then click Extract All.
