Files won't open on workspaces after running jshell

I ran jshell and the full workspaces turned only into the console. I later pressed Ctrl + D and excited jshell yet only the console window remains and I cannot open other files. The only way to open them is to close the console and them I can't run programs as I do not have console to run them on.

I am stuck with either only the console or only the programs.

Update, the problem only occurs in Google Chrome, with Firefox this problem doesn't occur
