9,405 PointsI had the same issue. I finished the previous lesson, closed the console, and then when I opened a new instance of the console I got the following error: "fatal: Not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git"
In the context of this project, I got this error because I was running "git branch" from my home directory when I should have been running "git branch" from the my_really_cool_project/ repository. The following worked for me:
cd my_really_cool_project/
git branch
