fatal: Authentication failed

It won't let me push up to master : invalid username/password. But this is the legit username and password for my GH account.

Why is the URL https://username@github.com, shouldn't it be https://github.com/username/?

I did a couple of steps that maybe can help you. It worked for me. • Remove two-factor authentication from your GitHub account. • Change password don't add or remove special characters. • Check if you're still on the same directory "Treehouse" • Start the process again or just "git push origin master" • Once you're done activate the two-factor auth to secure the account .
