317 PointsThere are two possible issues. The first is - the files themselves need to be unzipped. Meaning that when you download the files from Treehouse they will need to be zipped (compressed) and then unzipped. Depending on what operating system you are using ( I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit), you can use the ZIP file built into Windows 7 or you may use another zip file handler of your choice.
The other issue could be the workspace itself. The workspace is the area where all of the coding for HTML etc. is done.
Given the fact that I myself am new to both Treehouse and web design I feel information or suggestions I give may NOT resolve the issues you have or get you the results that you want.
I feel all students collectively should consult with support@teamtreehouse.

2,174 PointsYou can upload file under File menu above workspace instead of drag and drop. Did you extract the zipped file?

317 PointsI am sorry I was unaware of the fact that there is no edit button for answers.
The second issue with regard to uploading image files could be the browser itself. In my case, I am using Google Chrome. Sometimes there are browser issues that prevent the files from uploading correctly. The best course of action to take if for some reason you suspect that your browser (Firefox, Chrome) is the problem, then open your browser by going to the upper left corner of your screen, click Settings and there you will be able to delete your browsing history and correct errors there.
Again I too am new to all of this as well.
