13,532 PointsExtra "white brush marks" on mask...
So, I created a mask, refined with the brush tool, saved for web. Then I placed the image in Moqups and there's an ugly trace of where I refined with mask boundary. I retraced my steps, but still getting the same problem

39,261 PointsIn photoshop did you use the Refine Edge tool? When you right click on your mask layer that should come up and it's supposed to help remove all the edges and you just play with the settings until you don't get that ugly border anymore. And if that doesn't work your last resort is just zoom and paint whatever else you cant fix.

13,532 PointsI have the background set as a layer with the mask on it, i.e. I only have one layer...I tried it again, making sure to have the layer mask selected, and it did better. There's still some white edges, but what I brushed on came through as the original image. Thank you for your help!

13,532 Pointsyes, i did. there were some small areas to fix though, so i used the brush tool. like allyson did in the video. i can't believe that fixing the mask outline with brush tool actually leaves white paint on the mask....are you saying i'm stuck with this? I'm sensing that from your "last resort" comment...thanks for your help

39,261 PointsAre you painting the original layer, or are you painting the mask? Because when you paint the mask it erases everything. Make sure that you actually click on the mask layer thumbnail before painting. That's most likely what's wrong. That and make sure there's no background layer underneath that's making it show a white edge.
