Python Python Basics (2015) Python Data Types Use .split() and .join()

Error messages when completing "Use .split and .join"

I've had error message after error message with this exercise. I have written the attached, which works just fine in workspaces but the challenge just will just not accept it. Where am I going wrong?

banana.py
available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(";")
menu = "Our available flavors are: {}."
sundaes = ', '.join(sundaes)
menu = menu.format(sundaes)

Your code looks correct. But the grader wants to recheck the previous tasks are correct at each stage. By redefining sundaes as a string, the test for Task 1 fails. Your code can be fixed by changing the join variable name to sundae2:

available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(";")
menu = "Our available flavors are: {}."
sundaes2 = ', '.join(sundaes)
menu = menu.format(sundaes2)
