Python Introducing Lists Build an Application Display the List

Efficiency, Continue vs if else ?

In the shopping_list app, we could add an item in the else block instead of using continue. Which one is more efficient? using continue or adding item in the else block?

I think using continue is more efficient since we go to the next iteration without checking other conditions.

It might be slightly more efficient, but efficiency is usually not a concern when user input is being processed. The human is extremely slow by computer terms, so most of the computer's time is spent just waiting.

Excellent point. Modern processor are so fast that they actually can go into sleep mode between keystrokes to save power. Of course, that was before all the crazy background apps took over.
