13,564 PointsAre you trying to drag and drop the image into the file tree or into the img folder?
If you are trying to drop them into the file tree make sure that they are unzipped and also make sure to drag them into the darker area of the file tree. This dark area appears when you hold files over!

15,206 PointsYeah this is broken for me too. Tried drag and drop and also File Upload from within the Workspace. Below is the transcript of the error dialog.
Is there a workaround for this?
What do they mean by upload a directory tree with Chrome? Is there a Chrome treehouse extension?

File Upload Error
Sorry, this upload was unsuccessful. Please try again by selecting all the files within the directory.
ProTip: You can upload an entire directory tree with Chrome.

417 PointsI am also having this issue. I tried dragging the unzipped files to the workspace side bar, but no dark area appears. I am using Firefox. File upload does not work either.
