Don't understand what helper methods are..

OK so I don't exactly understand what helper methods are...I get what he did in the video and everything about the code..but I didn't understand what the term "helper method" means.

They are usually used in more complicated methods so you don't have to write the same code over and over.
In that video he does a simple version of a helper isEmpty(). Now if he wants to check if the dispenser is empty in the next method he can just use: if (isEmpty()) { do this }. You will get a lot of practice in the Karaoke app later in the course.
