766 Points"Don't forget to name your Thread "TwitterThread". I've done this in about 3 different ways and still get the same error
I've subclassed Thread as "TwitterThread extends Thread" and also tried to name a variable Thread TwitterThread = new Thread(...), etc and still apparently can't get the assignment checker to pass, which is preventing me from continuing.
It's common convention that variables names aren't capitalized, unless you're a .Net developer, so 'TwitterThread extends Thread' seemed to be the right route from the question's phrasing and it being in the context of Java. Any ideas as to what is wanted from this assignment so I can continue?
Also note that the attached is only one variant that I've tried as a submission.
public class MainActivity extends Activity {
TwitterClient twitterClient = new TwitterClient();
Runnable twitterRunnable = new Runnable(){
public void run(){
twitterClient.update();
}
};
@Override
public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);
Thread TwitterThread = new Thread(twitterRunnable);
TwitterThread.start();
}
}
