Do we create our own html & css files in this course, and host them online, or only use Team Treehouse Workspaces?

I'm working if we will be creating our own files in a text editor like Sublime Text 3.

If you decide to go the route of creating your own with a text editor like sublime you will not need to host them online. You can develop locally. You will find that the older courses before workspaces was available were done this way.

I suppose all new courses will probably have the Teacher's using workspaces.

Using the Team Treehouse Workspaces would be the most efficent way for you to work along with the videos, however you could do either. Though neither are required to complete the courses, as the code objectives are in the browser.
