Do I have to have my site hosted to get these files over to wordpress? I'm still running my site Locally off of xammp.

Do I have to go back and get my site hosted or is there another way?

You should be able to just put the files in your local wordpress folder and it should work fine.

doesn't matter if you on the server or locally, in fact, it should be the same. except the url.
