Does this mean web designers should learn to code, i.e. programming because if they don't, their careers are at risk?

I dont see why this would mean designers would have to learn to code. I think this software is designed to speed up the coding process.

100% don't think designers should do design in code. I NEED control of MY code, having someone else do all the HTML and CSS removes that control. I now need to think like they do when it comes to writing code and naming things. Not cool.

I think that's a cool bit of software but, all the problems he mentioned at the start could be solved with communication. Have your designer work to a 1000px canvas so everything can be turned into a percentage easily, get the images put into a dropbox folder...simple solutions.
