Treehouse Guest TeacherHello Gerald,
You're very close! The challenge is asking you to create a public field, not a public function. In this case, you just need the public keyword before Dictionary<string, int> WordCount.
public Dictionary<string, int> WordCount = new Dictionary<string, int>();
I hope this helps.

15,454 PointsThank you, I must've read the directions 20 times skipping over the keyword "FIELD". Seriously, thank you again!
