16,009 PointsHey Ted,
You shouldn't create instance variables of type Tag and then insert those variables into the description method for Post
. It is not needed, and there is a better way to achieve the same purpose. Moreover, you need to access tagg.name
to get a string back to use in your result variable. Otherwise, the compiler would try to convert the Tag object into a string, which it is not.
Try something more along the lines of this, instead:
struct Tag {
let name: String
}
struct Post {
var title: String
var author: String
var tag: Tag
func description() -> String {
return "\(title) by \(author). Filed under \(tag.name)"
}
}
let firstPost = Post(title: "iOSDevelopment", author: "Apple", tag: Tag(name: "swift"))
let postDescription = firstPost.description()
Hope this helps, Rodrigo
