Declare a variable that is named the camel-cased version of "first name". Store the user's first name into this new variable using console.readLine.
// I have imported java.io.Console for you. It is a variable called console.
Console console = System.console();
String Firstname = console.readLine("What is your name? ");
console.printf("My name is %s.\n",firstName);

Two things here. First, if you click on the Preview button you'll see the errors it is throwing. It's unhappy with the redeclaration of console
. This variable already exists so there's no need to create it; you can just use it. So, delete your first line of code.
Second, the variable name needs to be camel case, so start with a lower case f
and capitalise the N
of Name
so you end up with firstName
.
That'll get you through the first task.
Steve.
