Hi there,

You want to create the variable first, then worry about reading in the user's input.

You're creating a String so start with that word, then call it something appropriate 'the camel cased version of "first name"' - that's those two words with no spaces and each initial letter, other than the first, capitalised. That's like firstName.

Then assign the result of using console.readLine() into that using an equals sign:

String firstName = console.readLine("What's your first name?: ");
