decisions, decisions. basic or pro??

I'm on my last day of my free trial and have enjoyed the experience here greatly and would like to continue learning with Treehouse.

I'm just trying to decide if I should stick with the basic plan or switch to pro. I am very new to the wonderful world of technology and am wondering if it's worth the extra price going pro with my skill level as there is still so much to learn but am definitely more knowledgeable than last week.

I am thinking about going yearly, but if I was to do that and start with the basic plan for a year and later decided to switch to pro at a later time would what I already payed be credited to the next level?? Is there any real benefit between basic and pro plans?

Hey Trevor,

Thanks for the thoughts! Simply stated, Basic is a great plan for novice programmers and Pro makes sense for existing programming professionals. With Basic, you'll have access to a wide range of topics and all the fundamental and intro level courses. As you refine your craft and need to get into a language deeper for its nuances, Pro then starts to make more sense.

Should you study on Basic and wish to move to Pro on an annual plan, any payment you make will be credited (pro-rata) towards the difference in price between the two plans. Likewise, a downgrade will result in a pro-rata credit of the price difference.
