curve using additional anchor points

I have tried to do the curve using the bezier curve but couldn't get it perfect. So added additional anchor points and dragged them to make the right shape.

Does this create any issues later on?

Using fewer points is good because it makes the shape easier to edit later on and also usually creates a smoother path.

That being said, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to make the shape you want. Keep practicing, and your shapes will get smoother and cleaner to more you do.

It does take a LOT of practice.

At the end of this article there is a download to the Pen Tool Exercise file. It's a good reference to keep on hand.
