CSS on JAVAFX

I am learning Java and JavaFX (though I am not sure the difference between them). I don't really understand the underlying concept (e.g. animation, timeline, media class, observable) and don't understand how FXML and CSS work tgt with handler (how the styleClass works).

Can anyone point me into the right directory? which things should I learn first, what book should I read?
