CSS 'nth-child' syntax is not working for Challenge Task 2 of 2

@media screen and (min-width: 480px) {

#gallery li {
width: 28.3333%;

}

gallery li:nth-child(4) {

clear: left;
}

}

The above CSS rule is coming up with the Bummer! message:

"Did you set 'clear: left' on every fourth gallery list item?"

Can someone help me out with this problem?

Thanks! :)

Hi Warren,

You are missing out the 'n' in the nth-child. Your code should look something like this:

@media screen and (min-width: 480px) {
  #gallery li {
    width: 28.3333%;
  }
  #gallery li:nth-child(4n) {
    clear: left;
  }
}

Hope this helps.

I also deleted your duplicate question, and tidied up the title for this question.

Let me know if you need any further help.

Why do we need an n in nth-child(4n)? Specifically in the (4n)
