CSS cide challenge issue (Challenge task 2 of 4): Set the color of paragraphs to black using a hexadecimal value

Challenge task 2 of 4 in CSS - Im stuck!

Task: Set the color of paragraphs to black using a hexadecimal value

The code I entered:

header { background: #6ab47b: border color: #599a68: }

h1, h2 { color: #fff; }

nav a, nav a:visited { color: #040000; }

body { background-color; #fff; color: #040000; }

Note: checked the w3schools page, and #040000 is the hex code I got for black.

Result:

Bummer! Double check that you've styled paragraph (p) elements to be black with a hexidecimal value.

Your help and feedback is much greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Justine

Hi Justine, selector for paragraph is p, value for black is #000000 (or #000 as short-code).

So in your CSS file you should've typed in: p{ color:#000; }
