I'm stumped on this. Can someone help me out? With my current code I'm counting all the tiles, not just the matches. My code might be way off, I think this has fried my brain. Thanks.
public class ScrabblePlayer {
private String mHand;
public ScrabblePlayer() {
mHand = "";
}
public String getHand() {
return mHand;
}
public void addTile(char tile) {
// Adds the tile to the hand of the player
mHand += tile;
}
public boolean hasTile(char tile) {
return mHand.indexOf(tile) > -1;
}
public int getTileCount(char tile){
int tileCount = 0;
for (char letter : mHand.toCharArray()){
tileCount++;
}
return tileCount;
}
}

5,500 PointsYou are on the right way, but the question is ask to find all the letter same as the tile, the function should be like following:
public int getTileCount(char tile){
int tileCount = 0;
for (char letter : mHand.toCharArray())
if (letter == tile)
tileCount++;
return tileCount;
}
