console.printf("%s",firstName); that is what i did and I keep getting a message saying that I did something wrong

variable before using it.

Treehouse TeacherOh shoot, sorry I didn't see it sooner jonathanfantroy2 . The instructions require you to specifically type something. Can you read them again:
Call the print function on the console object and make it print out "<YOUR NAME> can code in Java!"
