You have the right idea, but I think the issue is indentation - the first line under the while loop needs to be indented, and the code inside the 'if's and 'elif's needs to be indented. One easy way to do it is to reset the challenge, then add your def main(): line, then select everything underneath that line and hit ctrl-] (or cmd on a mac, probably). Ctrl(or Cmd) + ] (closing square bracket) will indent everything one tab to the right.
