Could you please give an update to this tutorial and show how to handle SSL connection error.

when: I type > gem install bundler then: I get > Unable to download data from https://rubygems.org/ - SSL_connect returned=1 errno=0 state=SSLv3 read server certificate B: certificate verify failed (https://rubygems.org/latest_specs.4.8.gz)

Not sure what OS you're using or whether or not you're using rvm or anything like that, but have you tried the selected answer in this Stack Overflow thread:
