3,822 Points"Could not compile..." error, but no compiler errors in the preview-window.
I copied the code into a swiftPlayground and the location returns some wierd string(?) "__lldb_expr_709.Point". No compiler errors tho.
May it be my code?
class Point {
var x: Int
var y: Int
init(x: Int, y: Int) {
self.x = x
self.y = y
}
}
class Machine {
var location: Point
init() {
self.location = Point(x: 0, y: 0)
}
func move(_ direction: String) {
print("Do nothing! I am a machine!")
}
}
// Enter your code below
class Robot: Machine {
init(x: Int, y: Int) {
Machine.init()
}
func move(direction: String) {
switch direction {
case "Left": location.x -= 1
case "Right": location.x += 1
case "Down": location.y -= 1
case "Up": location.y += 1
default: break
}
}
}

8,716 PointsHi,
The challenge wants you to override the func move. Try to add override before your method in the Robot class.
Happy coding.

8,716 PointsAlso, I don't think you need the initializer in the Robot class as the challenge didn't ask to add any new properties to the Robot vs. machine

3,822 PointsThanks, the problem was in the init in the Robot class. As you said i did not need it.
