1,134 PointsConverting app icon for a bit more flat-ish (ios7) icon
I designed my app icon for iOS6 when skeuomorphism was widely used. Since iOS7 embraces flat I want to see the possibility of tweaking my app icon so its more flat-ish.
This is my current icon https://www.dropbox.com/s/kqognq608w09olj/Icon-72%402x.png

Firstly you should get rid of the dramatic gradients and make the colors completely solid or go for a much more subtle gradient if you must use gradients. You can basically keep the shapes all the same just adjust colors and gradients.

9,995 PointsLove the color yellow, the checkered motive and the word "TAXI". That's enough to say taxi to me!
Perhaps you could simplify your icon to meet the simplicity of the IOS7 icons. (And ditch the gradients, shadows, gloss and shine as well - as they all seem to be a no-no:(
So yellow, black and white: Could be just the top of the taxi ... Or a yellow front view silhouette view - both with checkered banding and TAXI roof top sign. So many possibilities...
Can't wait to see what you do.
