Please give some feedback on logo for my CV and business card. The logo is made from my picture with raster effects and fairview typeface. Have look at design one and second version Thanks.

938 PointsHello Kirill, go with design one, specifically the one with just type. It's a personal logo, but it is still a logo so you should take into consideration some logo rules (http://www.webdesignerdepot.com/2009/06/12-essential-rules-to-follow-when-designing-a-logo/). You have a really good type work there. Concentrate on that and use your photo on other ocasions but your logo. Like you can still have your photo on your personal card without it being part of the logo itself. Good work and good luck.

13,116 PointsHi Kirill Titov , I like the 2nd one more. Specifically the one with you in the blue gear. The 1st one doesn't show your features very well, I am not sure if that is the goal of it. The one with the blue gear and you in it on the 2nd design is more clear on that, looks more modern to me and looks pleasant. The downside of the one I chose might be that you'll need more ink to print it and if it is minimized into a smaller size it might not look as good. I think it would be nice if you could print both in a card and scan it then show us , or make a mock card with it on it, so we can have a clearer picture of how it will look like on a card. Also for your CV the black is more neutral than the blue so if your CV is all black and white, the black the 1st design (the one without your picture) seems like a cool choice for it. In a nutshell 1st Design (the one without pic) for CV and/or card and from 2nd design the one with you in the blue gear for the card. I think having your picture in the card is good as it helps people remember how you look like as well. I hope this helps.

12,119 PointsHi Gloria, As you mentioned, the goal is to show my skills. I agree with you that then minimized into a smaller size logo (gear) might not look as good. Many thanks for leaving feedbacks. I do really appreciate it.

Courses Plus Student 7,823 PointsHi,
The first design with only type is the better option. One concern is the readability of "design.coder" at small sizes. Anyway awesome type treatment.

12,119 PointsHi Vasco, Many thanks for leaving the feedbacks. I agree with you, my gut feeling is to go with the type logo. I`ve tried to find inspiration in βTrade Marks & Symbols β Yasaburo Kuwayamaβ for my logo type version, suggested by Aaron Draplin in Logo challenge. Thanks for link.
