Console CP Command: Why are copies not labeled as such like they are in a GUI?

When I make a copy of a document in Windows, Windows will indicate in the name of the copy that this is a copy. Why does the console not label copies as such?

:point_right: On the command line, you choose what to name the copy.

If you wanted a windows-like name you could easily do that in a copy command:

> cp somefile.txt copy_of_somefile.txt

But you can just as easily name it anything else you might want.
