Connecting to SQL server

Hi,

I have followed all the steps, and am using the same versions of the mySQL server and workbench as in the tutorials.

I am getting a password prompt when trying to create a new instance of the server.

I have entered in the sudo command and installed the system prefs as well.

Just wondering if anyone has any advice on this?
