I'm getting the error that says my Insert statement is improper. Where am I going wrong with this?
// Load class "org.sqlite.JDBC"
Class.forName("org.sqlite.JDBC");
// Establish connection to database named "treehouse.db"
try(Connection c = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:sqlite:treehouse.db")) {
//INSERT 1 Row into Language table ID Column should have a value of 2 and name should be "Java"
//First create a sql statement.
Statement statement = c.createStatement();
statement.executeUpdate("INSERT INTO language(id, name) VALUES (2, 'Java')");
} catch(SQLException ex) {
}

5,639 PointsI actually figured it out, looks like I need to see if the table exists and if it doesn't create the table. Then execute the code.
This ended up working: // Load class "org.sqlite.JDBC" Class.forName("org.sqlite.JDBC");
// Establish connection to database named "treehouse.db" try(Connection c = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:sqlite:treehouse.db") ){ Statement statement = c.createStatement(); statement.executeUpdate( "DROP TABLE IF EXISTS languages"); statement.executeUpdate("CREATE TABLE languages (id INTEGER PRIMARY KEY, name STRING" ); statement.executeUpdate(" INSERT INTO languages(id, name) VALUES( 2, 'Java')"); } catch(SQLException ex) { System.err.printf("There was a database error: %s%n",ex.getMessage()); }
