== is a Comparison operator and = is an assignment operator.
see below
a =5
c = 10
a == c will return False # because your comparing the value of a with the value of c
print (a) # this will return 5
a =10 # here i have re assigned the value of a to 10 using the assignment operator
print(a) # will return 10 after assignment
