iOS Swift Basics Swift Types String Manipulation

concatenation of strings

Where I went wrong?

strings.swift
// Enter your code below
let name = "Gopi"
let greeting = "Hi there, \(name)"
let finalGreeting = "\(greeting) How are you? "

In order to concatenate strings, you'll need to add the + between the two variables, name and greeting in finalGreeting. So:

let finalGreeting = name + greeting;

Also it looks like you're trying to use format strings, correct?

I solved my finalGreeting by doing this

let finalGreeting = greeting + "How are you?"

as a string concatenation requirement for the final constant
